Christmas Dec oration!!!

Alright I know.  It isn't even June yet and here I am posting Xmas decorations.  Well I do have a good excuse.  In a couple of weeks we are off on holiday for 7 weeks and so I needed to get organised for classes in August and Septermber so that I am not in a total tizzy when we get back.  This Origami ball is just SOOOOOOOO gorgeous but it does take a wee bit of time.  I had thought it might be a bit of a pig to put together once all the elements were made but no.  It was EASY PEASY!! I am going to teach it in September and it will be a complete day's class simply because you need 60 individual cones which as you can imagine take a wee while to fold.  Well worth the effort I can vouch for that.  Hope you are all well and happy and looking forward to the long weekend here in NZ.  Thanks for looking today.

Look What We Made Today. . . . .

. . . . .Marshmallow Sheep!!!  Very appropriate for NZ don't you think???  They weighed a ton and cost a small fortune but made for a couple of fun filled hours and resulted in two VERY happy Grandchildren.  T&T have gone home now just leaving the debris behind and some GREAT memories.  I am not tackling anything tonight.  It will still be there in the morning and a couple of hours will have the house back to nomal.  Who am I going to play with next week???  Have a great weekend Everyone.

Today's Outing

After having pancakes for breakfast  we three caught the train to 'The Big Smoke' today - Wellington.  There is a temporary ice skating rink set up on the water front which T&T tried out.  It was a stunning day weatherwise.  As the saying goes 'You Can't Beat Wellington On A Good Day' and that was certainly true today.  The ice rink was fabulous and the kids enjoyed a good couple of hours gliding around.  They are experienced in-line skaters and so took to the ice rink like ducks to water.  Afterwards we walked along the waterfront and found the crocodile bikes so we hired on for half an hour and G'ma sat in the middle and enjoyed the ride whilst T&T pedaled away and took us all along the beautiful waterfront in the beautiful sunshine.  A long walk back to the station where we had lunch at Macdonald's before catching the train home.  Three weary travellers tonight.  Two already asleep and this one about to go to bed as soon as I finish this.  Movies tomorrow evening and more baking planned for either tomorrow or Friday or even both who knows??  I love my Grandchildren and school holidays!!!

Tuesday's Creations

Hi Everyone.  It's second week of the school holidays and we're having a great time here.  Monday we worked on scrapbooks using the photos from our recent dolphin trip.  They are looking really good and I'll post them when finished.  Yesterday, Tuesday, Trent and Tayls did a craft class at Sister Act where they made these funky clip/chalk boards.  Lots of glue and glitter.  Lots of mess - Such fun.  As you can see they did a great job and are very proud of there creations.  Quite right too.  I'll post today's activities in a separate post.  There has been some pretty yummy baking taking place as well.  I am proud of ME for not eating ANY of it as I am on a weight loss challenge at the moment!!!
