A late night post. I haven't done one of those in quite a while. This card was inspired by Kittie Kraft who does wonderful things with die cut flowers and leaves. Go take a look at her creations. It was fun to do and I have a couple of other ideas of hers to try out - also involving windows. Will post them as they materialise. Short and sweet tonight as it's bedtime and I am quite tired and ready for my bed so I'll say 'night 'night and sleep tight if you are on my side of the world and have a great day if you are on the opposite side of the world. Thanks for looking.

Scenic Tags
Hi Everyone and I hope you are all having a relaxing weekend. I cetainly am enjoying my weekend. We went out for lunch today. Yesterday I was taxi Mum to our youngest daughter, her partner and friend who wanted to do a local scenic walk. It is a point-to-point walk and so you need transport back from the far end. I dropped them off at the start just before 9 and went to pick them up at 2 and it all worked out perfectly. I had been waiting (reading my book) for about 15minutes when they walked out.It was another beautiful day and they had really enjoyed their walk so that was good. Later in the aftrnoon our eldest daughter arrived with my two favourite Little People for a surprise visit which was lovely. We bought Fish and Chips for tea and ate them from the paper too!!! Yummmmmmmmmmm.
Anyway onto the post . . . . I have been wanting to have a go at these scenic tags since before Christmas. I saw them done by Dianne at Art of Craft when I went there in October. I bought some new stamps (of course) to have a go and have only just found the time. I copied Dianne's to get me started and give me confidence. They are SUCH fun to do and I'm raring to go with more. However I do have to keep an eye on the date as my next class is looming on the horizon and I still have the dreaded instructions to write and my '. . . . and here's one I prepared earlier' pieces to get ready, so more tags may have to sit back for a little while. I do have a couple of other samples for future classes underway too. Hope you like the tags. I was cetainly quite pleased withy them as a first attempt. Thanks for looking today.

Stacking???
I am not sure just what you would call this technique I came across. I had seen a sample like the flower one, different coloured flowers but a single colour mount card and no button centres. But then my friend Ali showed me her cards where she had used one extra large stamp for the technique and I thought they were great. So, I went on the hunt through my stamps for suitable ones. The results you see here. I love them! Hope the class ladies will like them too. Thanks for looking today. I'm off to do some more whilst my Mojo is still in the building!!! Have a good week Everyone.
Make Friends With Your Brayer
At last I've had a good few creative days I'm pleased to say. A couple more classes sorted to boot. I bought an instructional DVD which has helped me no end to smooth out my brayering and so I have decided to run a class with the same title as this post and pass on the tips. The two cards are the samples we will be making. That class is not until the start of April so I have PLENTY of time to write the insructions!!! Yeah right!!! I will still be on the last minute with them as usual because as you all know Class Instructions are my least favourite thing in the world to do!!!
Trent and Tayla's Ceramic Painting
The waiting is finally over for Trent and Tayla!! I took them to the art shop in the last week of the holidays and they painted these ceramic pieces. Then we had the looooooooooooooooong wait for them to be fired in the kiln. It's only been a couple of weeks - well three tomorrow I suppose - but it has seemed like foreveeeeeeeeeer for an 11 and 9 year old. Finally I got the call that they were ready, and today we had a surprise visit from the two Little People themselves to collect their treasures. Smiles all around!! They did a good job I think you will agree?

Magic Box
OMG How long has it been? It seems like ages to me. I have been working hard trying to sort out class projects for the year. It takes FOREVER!!! Then you try out one and realise that's it's NEVER going to work in a class situation blah, blah, blah!!! Anyway here at last is one that will DEFINITELY work. It's called a magic box and if you are interested in seeing some truely BEAUTIFUL magic boxes then go to this link http://magic-boxes.blogspot.co.nz/ or Google Magic Boxes and go take a look. The ladies name is Elaine (the same as mine so she must be nice!!!) Her boxes are an absolute delight - specially when you realise just how small they are. Mine is only about 7.5 cms high and the base/top is about 6cms square. Loved doing it and I have more ideas planned in my head. Hope they manage to escape sometime soon!! LOL. First class of the year coming up on Saturday. Don't know why but I'm always a bit nervous after the Christmas break. We're doing the Sunset Concertina Card. There are only 4 booked in so a gentle breaking in. We're off out to lunch now. My husband asked me very nicely this morning if I would like to go. Of course I would please. Then I realised it is Valentine's Day today!! How lovely is that? We have never done the Valentine's thing - EV ER so after 45 years of marriage it is delightful. See you soon.

Tayla's Family
Tayla has spent lots of time over the last couple of days making this delightful wee family from scraps of card, punches, scissors, blusher, glue and a couple of pens. The idea was all hers and she has worked away quietly and steadily. I think you will agree that the end result is VERY cute. The family consists of Mum and Dad, teenage sister (who just happens to be the Prom Queen) octuplet babies (4 boys and 4 girls) and the two maids/nannies who are also twins!!!!! You can cetainly see the family resemblance don't you think? It is a bit of worry that the maids/nannies look like the family too!!! Last day with Trent and Tayla today. The weeks have gone by so quickly. Back to school on Monday for them which will be exciting as they are going to a new school. Hope you enjoyed looking at Tayla's wee family.
